According to some reports including Analysts at Piper Jaffray Inc and Kaufman Brothers they believe that Apple is working on the next generation of the IPod Touch.

The Touch will connect to the Internet with Wi-Fi networks and instead of the 3.5 inhc screen that is now available the screen will be larger. The screen could be a 7 inch screen which will allow the user more workspace for using the Internet, some applications and will be much more usable than the current 3.5 inch screen.

There is also rumor that Apple might introduce a 10 inch screen notebook according to the analysts from the companies and this would complete their netbooks and compete with the low cost mini computers that are currently on the market. This would also be Wi-Fi capable, able to run certain applications as well as video and audio.

This week the new version of the IPod Shuffle will be introduced, this next generation Shuffle is smaller in size, by almost half. The newest feature of this IPod is the ability to speak artist, song and playlist names.

This model is smaller than a AA battery and is equipped with a stainless steel clip so it can be attached and worn. There is no screen on this Shuffle making it an IPod that can only be used for music; podcasts and other audio files and the controls are on the earphone cord. The controls on the earphone cord allow adjusting the volume, a play button and a pause button.

According to a statement from Greg Joswiak the Vice President of the IPod and IPhone product marketing, this is a new approach to how people listen to music, with the Shuffle speaking the names of the songs, artists or playlists.
